Whoodle puppies!!!

These little bundles of fun are growing by the day and relentlessly seeking to broaden their horizons – under the table, behind the log burner and even (when I left it open for more than 2 seconds) into the fridge…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

We know Christmas is still a long way off, but our reindeer have just reminded us that we need to get ready early for their busy time.

If you would like them to appear at your Christmas event, please get in touch as soon as possible as their diary is filling up very quickly.

After an extremely wet day on Saturday, the sun came out on Sunday and the alpacas (and the hand spun yarns) were a huge hit.

Arkadia Alpacas at Canons Ashby

2016-04-05-13-43-57We’re just about packed up and ready to take the Arkadia Alpacas Roadshow to the Harvest Festival at Canons Ashby House this weekend.

As well as alpacas on display, there will be demonstrations of how we card and spin the alpaca fibre to make fine hand spun yarns.

More photos to come…

Whoodle puppies!

My lovely Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Maisy gave birth to seven little Whoodles on 14th August. Mum & pups doing really well (& they’re apparently the only litter of whoodles in the UK this year)

Titan’s new look…

Titan the reindeer was trying out a new look this evening. I’m really not sure it’s going to catch on…

Naming Competition cria born (at last!!!)

Briza finally gave birth this afternoon to a striking little girl. We’re currently putting all the girl’s names you came up with in a hat (knitted from alpaca fibre of course).

Watch this space to see if you’re the winner…

Alpaca Walk and Felting Workshop – Aug 17th

This is the first time we’ve combined an alpaca walk & workshop using alpaca fibre – along with a treasure hunt & magic stick workshop for the younger members of the group – and it was a great success!

Please watch our website for details of future workshops – or get in touch if you’d like us to organise a bespoke workshop especially for your group.

Alpaca walks available daily – message or call if you’d like to book…

Another new arrival at Arkadia Alpacas

Fantasia gave birth this morning to a lovely grey boy – Phineas Potts.

That’s two girls & two boys so far – three more crias expected…

Paloma’s Promise

Toft Talini just gave birth to our latest arrival – a little girl we’ve named Paloma’s Promise. Her colouring is quite unexpected, but very beautiful.
